Robert Horton traveled the Southeast as half of a duo from 1978 to 1980, performing at family venues, county fairs and festivals.

From 1980 to 1989, he played with multiple rock-oriented dance bands in the Memphis area.

Since 1989 Horton has been a member of Memphis-based folk-rock band Cooley’s House. In 2003, Cooley’s House released a CD, which is composed of several tunes written and performed (vocally & instrumentally) by Horton.

He is very proud of the fact that he is a founding member of this latest group - Jazmine.
